We pause today to remember Mickey Gilley and, of course, many smash hits, “Stand By Me,” “Lonely Nights,” and don’t forget, “Room Full of Roses.” These songs of Urban Cowboy and his world-famous honky tock spun Country Music into the forefront to many who moved away from their “Country Roots.” We will miss this kind-hearted man and offer our condolences to his family and friends. His many friends in Country Music are also sharing their memories and offering words of support for the loss of this Country Music icon.
