Patsy Cline traveled to Kansas City, Kansas, on March 3, 1963, to perform three shows. These shows were to benefit the family of disc jockey Cactus Jack Call, who’d recently died in a car accident. Cline shared the stage with Dottie West, George Jones, Billy Walker, Cowboy Copas, and Hawkshaw Hawkins. Two days before Cline’s unforeseeable death, she spent the night at the Town House Motor Hotel. Unfortunately, she could not fly out the day after the concert because Fairfax Airport was due to fog.
