C.W. McCall, ‘Convoy’ Singer, Passed Away at 93

‘Convoy’ Country singer, C.W. McCall, passed away on Friday, April 1st, at 93. The troubadour of truck-driving songs helped add CB radio lingo like “10-4 good buddy” into the nation’s vocabulary with his spoken-word smash about big-rig drivers protesting government regulation. “Breaker one-nine, this here’s the Rubber Duck.” We all can recite the words “Convoy,” which celebrates the CB users and our long-haul truck drivers who keep the big wheels of our economy turning.
