There is a short stretch of road along Route 66 / Hwy 333 near Tijeras that plays the end of “America the Beautiful.”
This singing road was built by National Geographic as a part of their new Nat-Geo TV show “Crowd Control”, a short section of Route 66 has specially designed rumble strips that turn the Mother Road into a record and your car into a phonograph, of sorts. Just a few miles east of Four Hills. Enjoy driving safely in New Mexico!
